My Polar Bear won the LO of the week in Color Line Design

Photobucket

I'm totally shocked, girls in the Color Line Design forum chose my Polar Bear LO their LO of the week! And I didn't even knew that they are doing this kind of choosing from the LO's uploaded to their Gallery. Wow.
I'm so happy and excited, first time ever my LO has got so much attention. One reason might be that I'm doing LO's so rarely ;o)

To CLD girls: THANK YOU so much about this selection.

BR JohannaL

I got awarded and tagged!

Shannon from Angel Winds & Things tagged and awarded me!
Thank you so much Shannon for this!

Here are 7 random facts about me:

1. I love weird books about vampires, ghosts, Indians, aliens etc. I'm ordering those via Internet, because those are not available in our local book shops - they are rarely selling paperbacks in English language.
2. I love swimming, I used to compete when I was a child. Nowadays I just enjoy swimming with my kids.
3. I started ice skating again after 20 years. My girls love ice skating and we are going to indoor ice-skating rink every week.
4. My favorite drinks are water, coffee and green apple cider.
5. My love two colors: black and red. Most of my clothes are those colors.
6. I have always hated pink color, but after having 3 daughters I have learned to stand it.
7. It seems that I never have enough time to do all things, which are in my head. Nowadays I'm writing all stuff to my notebook and hopefully some day I'm able to do those - even some of them, LOL. Mostly ideas are about sewing or scrapping.

Here are the rules:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

Creative Dreams August color challenge 2008

Heips,

August Color challenge in the Creative Dreams forum is up and running.
They have really cool color swatch for this month. I really loved the colors, because I don't usually use these colors at all. So it was fun to create something with the colors never used before.
I named my kit after the quote I found from the Quote Garden, author is unknow.
Elements are created with felt effect.
I really hope that you like it as much as I do.

And if you create a LO with my kits, please... please... please... send your creations to my by email el9331 @ gmail.com (remove empty spaces between @) or leave a link to your gallery into my comments. I would love to see what you come up with my kits.

My first template!

I finally manage to finalize it - my very first template.
Because of my daughters I needed templates, which to use with each birthday year. This has taken so many hours from my time, because it was totally something new I had to learn.
My plan is to create whole set of number templates - 1 to 10 and also 25, 50 etc. Some of those are already ready, but will be published later.

Hint, hint: These are also good for wedding anniversaries. Or getting new tooths, or losing those...

Please send a link to your gallery or email your LO's to me, if you use my template. I would love to show your work in my blog. I really didn't have enough time to do any LO by myself, steeling time from my family just for creating these templates have been quite a challenge ;o)

CHARITY KIT to benefit Shriner's Children's Hospital in Chicago released

HUGE Charity collab kit Ocean Friends Charity kit is now in Stores!

There are over 120 beautiful 12x12" 300PPI digital scrapbooking papers

Along with 385 different elements

Here is information about Ocean Friends copied from Anne's blog:
This kit is 600mb of digi goodness!!! Way too much to show in the previews! The best part about it though is that all the proceeds from this kit go to a cause that's near and dear to my heart... Shriner's Hospital in Chicago.

This kit was actually my nine year old daughter Tiana's idea. She loves fish and I was making her a special kit for her to use as she pleased. It only took her a moment to decide that all the money from the sale of the kit should go to Shriners where she's a frequent patient. So that's what we're doing! We put out a call for people to contribute and the awesome digital scrapbooking community answered very loudly!! This awesome kit is the work of many talented designers, and on behalf of the patients, staff, and parents at Shriner's, I can't thank them enough!

All proceeds from this kit will go directly to the Recreational Therapy Department at Shriners and will provide them with much needed toys and craft supplies to keep the children entertained while they're staying at Shriner's.

Just click on the pictures above to be taken to the items in the Creative Dreams store, and to donate to this worthy cause!

Thanks again to everyone for supporting this cause! It means so much to my family and so many others. I just can't tell you how wonderful it has been to see this outpouring of support. I hope you enjoy this kit as much as we've enjoyed bringing it together for you!

Hugs,

She is also offering a great WordArt in her blog.
You can get it from her blog

I really don't have enough words to tell how much it means for me to be in part of this kind of charity work. So go to the store and buy this wonderful amazing charity kit!
